The Buzz: The dynamic duo of Trevor Kolb and Josh Shaffer scored four goals apiece in Clovis West’s crucial 13-11 victory over Buchanan that should have wrapped up the top playoff seed in Division I for the Golden Eagles.

Mt. Whitney’s one-goal victory over Hanford West led to those teams switching spots in D-III.

The Buzz: Clovis West further fine-tuned for next week’s Central Section playoffs with a fifth-place finish over the weekend at the Northern California Championships. The Golden Eagles used six Tristin Baxter goals to overcome Davis 13-11 in triple-overtime in the fifth-place game.
